Getting in the station after the game
Taking my 6yr old son to his first game tomorrow! Along with my old man, who's 71 and got a dodgy leg.
Neither he or I are driving and wondering if he'll have to do that shit walk all the way down and back up again?
Mate said they let oap's in the other side of the station... Anyone can confirm this?

Re: Getting in the station after the game
Remember taking my old man to his last game at West Ham, he was suffering badly with Parkinson's and could barely walk but insisted he wanted to go. Went back to Upton Park Station and I asked a policewoman if he could go through the barrier rather than walk to the back of the queue. She said no , join the queue. I pointed out the poor sod could barely walk to which she replied he could walk enough to go to the game. I then lost my rag but luckily another copper came over and let him through.

Glad to see it would appear to have been a one off. Three generations together at West Ham is going to be fantastic. Sadly my old man passed away before I could do that. Hope that you all have a great day

Lucie, you're mate's correct, the police are very helpful and your Dad will be let through without having to queue up in Queens road.

Stay in the ground after final whistle - savour the history

Go for a pie-mash, then amble to station when it's cleared
